What actually happens
It rarely arrives as an announcement. Streams degrade over a few evenings, support replies slow, then the panel stops authenticating. The website often stays up for weeks afterwards, still selling plans.
There is no insolvency process to join, no customer register, and usually no company name to pursue. The subscription was a licence to use a panel, and the panel is gone.
What you can recover
By card: a chargeback for services not rendered. Most issuers allow 120 days from the transaction, which on a twelve-month plan means the second half of the year is already outside the window when the problem appears.
By PayPal: a dispute within its own window, generally shorter.
By crypto or bank transfer: nothing. This is the single strongest argument against paying for a subscription with an irreversible method, regardless of any discount offered for doing so.
Three decisions that limit the damage
Never buy the year on day one. Trial, then one paid month, then the term. Two clean months is the cheapest evidence available that a provider is real.
Pay with a disputable method. The discount for paying in crypto is smaller than the value of a chargeback route.
Prefer a published refund window and a long record. Of the eight providers here, BexyTV is the only one publishing a 30-day money-back guarantee and FreeGoTV the only one publishing a founding date — 2013. Those two facts are worth more than a two-dollar price difference.
What about two-year plans?
Some providers sell 24-month terms at a further discount. The extra saving over twelve months is small and it doubles your exposure to exactly this scenario. We do not recommend them at any price.
Questions
Can I get a refund if my IPTV provider disappears?
Only through your payment provider. A card chargeback is the usual route and typically must be raised within 120 days of the transaction.
How can I tell a provider is about to close?
Degrading peak-hour performance over several evenings, slower support replies, and pressure to buy long terms at unusual discounts.
Is an annual plan worth the risk?
After a trial and two paid months, generally yes — it cuts the effective rate by a third or more. On day one it is a gamble.
